The results of an ADI-R assessment, combined with other clinical information, contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the child’s profile and guide appropriate interventions and support. Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R):

The ADI-R is a structured interview conducted with the parents or caregivers of individuals suspected of having ASD. The interview focuses on three main areas: reciprocal social interaction, communication and language, and restricted and repetitive behaviours. Key features include:

Developmental History: The ADI-R collects detailed information about the individual's developmental history and current behaviour.
Clinical Interview: Conducted over 1.5 to 2 hours, the interview includes a systematic set of questions to gather comprehensive data.
Specific Criteria: The responses are used to determine if the individual meets the criteria for ASD based on the DSM-5 or ICD-10 guidelines.
